Replacement Toy

Our son has lost his favourite toy monkey and is inconsoleable. We are looking for a replacement. Please help?
Our son, who is slightly autistic, lost his toy monkey at a funeral 2 weeks ago.To date it has not been found. It is very old and we have no chance of buying a replacement in the shops as we have no idea where it came from in the first place. It is approx 4/5 inches tall with a plastic face, hands (the thumb on 1 hand is yellow to represent a banana which you can “push” into its small mouth) and feet and was virtually falling to bits. It went everywhere with him. We are hoping that we can find a replacement somewhere on the internet and can provide a photo to anyone who may be able to help. Even though he is nearly 8 he is obviously really upset and can’t really bond with our ideas of a replacement. Can anyone help please?
try diverting his attention to sth else… get him a new toy that he may lke and he’ll be too engrossed with it to remember the monkey….
How can I find a replacement toy I had as a child?
I had a toy treehouse about 12 inces high as a child made by general mills by DIV Kenner products co in cincinnati I have tried online to find the company but it has changed hands I think and names I have the us Patent and catalogue number but now I’m not sure what the next step is
I found one on e-bay, but already sold. Might be your best way to find one. Also, see the page on “vintage toys”…lists several places to check with. I would think “vintage” or toy collectors would be your best bet, tho it will take a lot of weding through other toys to find one. Good luck.
