Maternity Capri Pants
Where should I focus my efforts?
I am due November 18 with my 3rd child. I feel like I should know this- but I don’t.. What season should I purchase maternity clothes for????? Should I focus on more fall- type clothes? Jeans and sweaters? Maybe a pair a capri pants? (i dont really wear shorts anyways in the summer- usually just skirts).. also I live in Michigan.. but its usually in the 90’s and humid in July and August and September starts to cool down- but then sometimes we even get snow on Halloween!
Also- anyone know of anywhere to get FASHIONABLE plus size maternity clothes? (besides Lane Bryant and Motherhood)????
Also- does anyone know of any websites that sell plus size shirts- that are the t-shirt style with cute sayings– like the ones they have at two peas in a pod or whatever the site is called?
p.s. and by plus size- i need a size 22/24 pants and i wear a size 26/28 top usually– so please dont think by plus size i mean that i need places that sell size a size XL
I live in the NE and was due in the fall as well. I bought mainly summer clothes (capris, tee shirts, etc.). Since you are on the cusp of two seasons, to save money, I would buy mainly late summer clothes, and maybe two pair of longer pants. You could also buy a nice big comfy regular wrap sweater or cardigan, and wear it over your summer items so you could get some more mileage out of them in the fall.
I really didn’t like maternity tops at all, so towards the end I bought some regular tops in a larger size. Just look for ones with more of an empire waist and that stretch, and are a little bit on the longer side. That way you can still wear them for awhile postpartum.

Maternity clothes!!???
I was curious if anyone else has had this problem… I am almost 6 feet tall and it is next to impossible to find maternity dress pants for talls. There is an abundance of capri pants and dresses, but i hate capris, and I don’t really want to wear dresses everyday.
Maternity stores must not expect tall women to get pregnant (and continue to work).
I have found tall jeans– old navy– but they do not have dress pants (which makes no sense…because if people are buying the tall jeans…wouldn’t they also need tall pants!?)
to all the short people…you can go get your pants hemmed to fit you correctly easily at a local dry cleaner… you can’t make pants longer!!
Have you tried Gap? I’m not tall, but I noticed most of the maternity pants came in short, regular, and long. I bought mine online.
