Short term disability and pregnant???
I declined coverage for short term disability when I started work at my present job. Now I am 4 1/2 months pregnant and would like to enroll to help with my bills while I am on maternity leave. Is there a certain time that you have to pay for coverage before you can use it???? Am I still eligible to receive coverage now??? Thanks in advance. By the way, I live in NC and work for a large company.
No private policy is going to cover maternity. And you’d have to check with your HR department about when you can add coverage (for your open enrollment period) but most likely, you have to NOT BE PREGNANT when you sign up for it.
So I don’t hink you’re going to find coverage for THIS pregnancy. It’s kinda like trying to buy car insurance AFTER the accident, to cover THAT accident.
But if you sign up for it during your next open enrollment, you’ll have it in place for the NEXT pregnancy.
Are all maternity shorts tight and short!?!?
I am 6 months pregnant and cannot find any maternity shorts that are comfortable & flattering at the same time. I have looked at Kohls and Motherhood & Mimi Maternity and have noticed that even the largest size (xl) shorts are still “slim – cut” and very short. I am not fat or anything, just a normal pregnant woman with curves and yes, pregnancy cellulite that I dont feel like flaunting. Is anyone having the same problem finding a pair of loose fitting not too long not too short maternity shorts made of comfortable material rather than constricting? Also, if you look at the models on motherhood maternity & mimi maternity’s website, you will notice that all the pants and shorts are form fitting and they are on slim models (probably not really pregnant models) rather than on real pregnant woment who are various sizes and shapes! Please let me know if anyone has found a place that carries the shorts Im looking for. Next will be finding a bathing suit with a long enough skirt. yeah!
